Land Rover Discovery is an excellent SUV. It puts up some tough fights in SUV of the Year contests. After a mid-cycle refresh and a more powerful engine, the Disco came back to impress you all. And now Land Rover’s newest flagship model has come up with even more impressive changes, and it sure looks nice.
The 2023 Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition is the company’s top-of-the-line Discovery model. The HSE R-Dynamic trim packs some upgrades and builds on the HSE R-Dynamic trim. With these features, you will get 355 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque from the 3.0-liter I-6.
Front and rear bumper inserts finished in Hakuba Silver further highlight the Metropolitan Edition’s Bright Atlas grille and “Discovery” lettering. Upgraded Discovery wheels offer a glossy gray finish with black brake calipers and diamond-turned 22-inch wheels.
The interior is stuffed with standard features. These include heated third-row seats with power adjustment, a cooler compartment in the front, and four-zone climate control. There is also Titanium Mesh trim throughout the cabin. R-Dynamic models are now standard with contrasting gloss black roofs. As a standard feature across the Discovery line-up, drivers will also find a Meridian sound system, wireless charging, three-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and heated front seats.
This 2023 Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition is the pinnacle of the Discovery family, Land Rover says. It targets customers looking for more from their Discoveries. The Metropolitan Edition is currently on sale for $75,650.
In addition to the R-Dynamic HSE specification, the Metropolitan Edition will add a sequence of new technology that will make the Discovery family more comfortable and convenient.
Metropolitan Edition will have Bright Atlas detailing on the grille and Discovery lettering to differentiate it from the rest of the lineup. This feature is matched perfectly with a Hakuba Silver-painted lower bumper insert.
With its new range-topping Discovery SUV, Land Rover sure knows how to thrill customers. A new Discovery model is coming to the US next year, and it’s called the Metropolitan Edition; it is basically as loaded as it gets.
The car looks very refined. The 22-inch wheels with black brake calipers behind them and silver bumper inserts add a bit more visual flair. Adding the Bright Atlas detailing to the Discovery’s HSE trim and grille marks the Metropolitan Edition.
The Metropolitan Edition comes with the full range of comfort and technology features in the Discovery. In addition to the Discovery’s other features, such as Land Rover’s latest Pivi Pro infotainment system with an 11.4-inch touchscreen, the Discovery offers a head-up display, heated steering wheel, and heated third-row seats.
The Metropolitan Edition’s engine is the Discovery’s most powerful: a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 that delivers 355 horsepower and 369 pounds of torque. Land Rover claims this Discovery can tow up to 8,200 pounds because it has a 48-volt mild-hybrid system to give it an extra boost. That’s pretty impressive.
Metropolitan Edition is too loaded to be cheap because of its ultraloaded nature. The vehicle can be ordered now for $76,650, plus a destination charge of $1,350. A base Disco is $18,700 cheaper than the Metropolitan Edition. However, to appear classy, it does cost some money.
